Jinan’s Electromechanical Product Exports Rise Steadily

(June 13)--Jinan City generated US$ 970M in trade value from electromechanical products in the first four months of 2008, with the export and import value accounting for US$ 655M and US$ 315M respectively, rising by 30.3% and 32.2% year-on-year. In the period, there were seven enterprises in the City that exported more than US$ 10M of electromechanical products, namely, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd., Shandong Electric Power Infrastructure Co., Ltd., Jinan Qingqi Motorcycle Co., Ltd., Jinan Meide Casting Co., Ltd., China National Electronics Imp. & Exp. Corporation, Panasonic Image Co., Ltd. and Siemens Transformer Co., Ltd. with US$ 165M, US$ 71.5M, US$ 45.94M, US$ 29.9M, US$ 23.2M, US$ 14.7M and US$ 10.19M in export value respectively.
